Prediko is transforming how Shopify merchants manage inventory. We’re growing fast, and as our third backend engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in scaling our platform and shaping our architecture from the ground up. This isn’t a ticket factory → you’ll have real ownership, work closely with the CTO, and make decisions that directly impact hundreds of merchants.

🛠 What you’ll be doing

• Build & Scale: Design and implement features that handle millions of data points while keeping things fast and reliable
• Wear Many Hats: One day you might be optimising a data pipeline, the next you're designing a new API, or diving into infrastructure improvements
• Own Your Impact: Take features from conception to production – you'll work directly with our CTO and have a say in what we build and how we build it
• Solve Real Problems: Help e-commerce businesses make smarter inventory decisions with data they can actually understand and act on
• Grow with Us: As we expand, you'll have opportunities to lead initiatives, mentor future team members, and evolve your role based on your interests

🧠 About you

Must Haves:

• 4+ years building production software at tech companies or startups
• Strong Python skills and experience with modern web frameworks (we use FastAPI)
• Solid understanding of databases (PostgreSQL is our bread and butter)
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
• A pragmatic approach to engineering – you know when to build for perfection and when to ship fast
• Great communication skills – we're a small team, so everyone needs to articulate ideas clearly
• Startup mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, eager to learn, and excited to build
• Enthusiasm for using AI coding assistants and agents to boost productivity and code quality
